PARIS -- Midfielder Blaise Matuidi has signed a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2018, ending months of speculation surrounding his future. The 26-year-old Matuidi has been one of PSGs key players, playing an important role in the French league title run last year. The France international was out of contract in June and had been linked with a big-money move to English Premier League side Manchester City. Matuidi has formed a dynamic central midfield pairing with Thiago Motta, who recently signed a new deal to keep him at the club until 2016. PSG is also negotiating terms with Brazil centre half Alex over a new contract. A tireless runner renowned for his tenacious tackling, Matuidi has played 124 games and scored 13 goals for PSG since joining from Saint-Etienne in 2011. "I was determined to continue the adventure with Paris Saint-Germain," said Matuidi, who has played 19 times for France. "The clubs limitless ambition is unequaled in Europe." Since Qatari backers QSI took charge in May 2011, PSG already has bought four players costing more than 40 million euros ($55 million) each -- Brazil captain Thiago Silva, Argentina midfielder Javier Pastore, the clubs first marquee signing who has since fallen out of favour, Brazil winger Lucas and Uruguay forward Edinson Cavani. PSG also signed midfielder Yohan Cabaye from Premier League club Newcastle last month, and the fact Matuidi is staying on shows PSG has the power both to lure and keep good players, when the French league has historically mainly been a selling league. "We are sending out a very strong message to France and the rest of Europe by re-signing one of Frances very best players," PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said. "Together, we want to build one of the best clubs in the world." PSG leads the French league by five points from Monaco, and thrashed Bayer Leverkusen 4-0 away from home in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 match. The team is scoring freely and Zlatan Ibrahimovic has 37 goals in all competitions. Hector Moreno Mexico Jersey . - Roger Federer squandered a big lead and lost to No. Jonathan dos Santos Jersey . But after dominating veteran Josh (The Peoples Warrior) Burkman en route to a three-round decision at UFC 182 on Saturday night, the 2000 Olympic judoka set his sights elsewhere. I think Rory MacDonald makes more sense for me, Lombard said at the post-fight news conference. Its up to Dana (UFC president Dana White) but I think Rorys not going to fight (immediately) for the title. So I think that makes sense. But lets see what he (White) desires.Asked for his thoughts, White said: I think hes right.I think (he could fight) any of those guys. Hes the No. 6 guy in the world, he could fight any of those guys. He could fight Tyron Woodley, he could fight Brown, he could fight Rory, any of those gguys.dddddddddddd. Well see what happens. The 25-year-old MacDonald (18-2) is ranked second among welterweight contenders, one spot ahead of Woodley.A native of Kelowna, B.C., who fights out of Montreal, MacDonald had been promised a crack at the winner of the UFC 181 welterweight title fight. But the UFC elected instead to stage a third fight between (Ruthless) Robbie Lawler and Johny (Bigg Rigg) Hendricks after Lawler won the title in December. An April 25 card in Montreal would seem to be the venue for MacDonalds next fight, which would fit into Lombards timetable. The 36-year-old Lombard, a five-foot-11 slab of muscle, competed for Cuba in judo at the 2000 Olympics. Lombard (35-4-1 with one no contest) has now beaten Jake Shields and Burkman since dropping down to 170 pounds. The former Bellator middleweight champion, who trains out of American Top Team in Florida, has black belts in judo and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. MacDonald also has his BJJ black belt.Follow @NeilMDavidson on Twitter Stitched College JerseysCheap UCLA JerseysNCAA Louisville Cardinals JerseysNorth Carolina Jerseys Stitched Kentucky Wildcats JerseysStitched Alabama Crimson Tide JerseysCheap Basketball Wisconsin Badgers JerseysAuthentic NCAA Jerseys StoreWholesale Basketball NCAA JerseysCheap Duke GearStitched Alabama JerseysStitched Georgia JerseysCheap Clemson Jerseys AuthenticAuthentic Texas JerseysWholesale USC JerseysStitched Oklahoma JerseysStitched Ohio State JerseysCheap Notre Dame GearUCLA Jerseys From ChinaCheap Louisville Jerseys Free ShippingCheap North Carolina Jerseys AuthenticCheap Kentucky Jerseys AuthenticWisconsin Jerseys From ChinaCheap Michigan GearCheap Florida GearWholesale Arizona State JerseysCheap LSU GearCheap Auburn GearCheap California Jerseys Free ShippingCheap Miami Jerseys AuthenticCheap Michigan State GearCheap Tennessee Jerseys AuthenticTexas A&M Jerseys From ChinaAuthentic Wake Forest JerseysWest Virginia Jerseys From China ' ' '
